				Guest MG (Ret) James Guest passed away on April 3, 2025. He was a 
				former commander of the U.S. Army Special Forces Command. Guest was a Distinguished Member of the Special Forces 
				Regiment. His military career spanned over 33 years. following 
				an initial assignment as a Platoon Leader in the 101st Airborne 
				Division, he volunteered for and completed the Special Forces 
				Qualification Course in 1962. His first SF assignment was with 
				the 10th Special Forces Group in Germany from 1962 to 1965. After two tours in Vietnam he would later be reassigned to 
				serve with 7th Special Forces Group and later once again with 
				the 10th Special Forces Group - serving as commander of 1/10th 
				SFG(A) in Germany. He later served as the commander of the 5th 
				Special Forces Group, USAJFKSWCS, and then USASFC. His awards and decorations include 		
				the Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star, the Legion of 
				Merit with Oak Leaf Clusters, the Meritorious Service Medal with 
				Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 
				five campaign stars, the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Special 
				Forces Tab, the Ranger Tab, and the Master Parachutist Badge.
